Surespan is keen supporter of local sports teams, community projects and charitable events. Here are some examples of the work we have been involved in.
Our colleagues are helping raise money for a 5 year old little girl called Amber from Pelsall, who suffers with Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy and can only walk with the aid of a frame. She needs an operation to relieve the tightness & stiffness in her legs and then she can learn to walk unaided.
Government funding for the operation was unfortunately cut in 2013 and her family have to raise a lot of money to make this possible for her.
Our colleague has already raised £300 selling Easter chickens knitted by her Nan. To make a donation visit JustGiving.com/Susannah-kemp
Surespan assisted Lichfield Young Farmers for the operation of their dragon's wings as part of their 2012 float, paraded at The Lichfield Bower festival and the Staffordshire County Show during June 2012. Surespan supplied actuators, control boxes and principal brackets. However the young farmers actually worked out where they should be fitted.
The float earned the Young Framers 2nd Place in the Bower Float competition.
Well done to all involved from Surespan.
In 2010, employees from Surespan took part in Race for Life, a flagship event for Cancer Research. Gaining sponsorship money from their colleagues they were able to raise a generous amount for the cause. Race for Life brings together thousands of women each year to walk, jog or run 5km to raise money in the hope of beating cancer.
In 2009 a record 54,000 people registered for the annual Great North Run half marathon between Newcastle and South Shields. As he has done for many years previously, our Production Manager ran the course in a very admirable time. Gaining sponsorship from Surespan colleagues, he raised a generous amount of money for his chosen charity.
Surespan has continued their support of Starlands St. Annes Football Club, Under 11's. From everyone here, we wish you well for this season.
