Surespan vertical lift ventilators are ideal where there is a height restriction or risk of high wind.
The lid is filled with 50mm of CFC and HCFC free insulation with a minimum U-Value of 0.43W/m²K to BS3958: Part 5: 1986. This offers a high level of thermal insulation against heat loss and condensation, together with excellent sound absorption properties.
The ventilator is offered with a control box including transformer, battery charger, and battery back up system to cover in case of emergency power cuts.

All Surespan SRH Roof Hatches are offered with a cost option using thermally broken extruded sections, offering clients excellent energy conservation properties and substantially reducing internal condensation or frost formation.
This in turn reduces thermal conductivity and consequently the heat loss due to heat conduction through the roof hatch frame.
This can also be applied to Surespan's SRHG Roof Hatches.
All Surespan's electrically operated roof hatches are available using solar technology, offering clients an environmentally friendly alternative.
A 12V solar panel is fitted either onto or nearby the roof hatch, harnessing solar energy to charge its batteries and allowing the hatch to automatically open and close using a completely wireless system. This can be operated by either a wireless switch or remote control. Its batteries are fitted with a conditioned monitoring feature, which sounds an alarm if they are running low or indicate a fault.
Additional options including being linked up to the building's Fire Alarm System (FAS) or Building Management System (BMS) are available. Multiple roof hatches can be operated by one solar panel.
This technology can also be applied to Surespan's SRHG glazed roof hatches.
VLE Roof Hatches can be manufactured with an extended skirt liner. The extended skirt liner can be used on any type of roof and can be provided as a completely assembled unit.
For metal deck roof applications the extended skirt liner gives an attractive look to unsightly metal edging. In general circumstances it gives a lining to the inside of the aperture.
The extended skirt liner can be manufactured to your exact requirements. No shape or size has its restrictions.
Surespan hatches can be fitted with curb liners to ease site installation.
Surespan hatches can be fitted with expanded mesh around the curb liner to aid adhesion for asphalt.
All Surespan hatches can be provided with a rain run-off skirt to fit existing upstand (on site, by others).
Twin colour access hatches are becoming a very popular option.
Surespan hatches are designed to offer a high level of thermal insulation against heat loss and condensation. U-Value of 0.43W/m²K is available.
All Surespan access covers are available polyester powder coated to any standard RAL colour.
Surespan access covers are now available with a BioCote finish. BioCote is a specially formulated powder coating, with all attributes of conventional powders plus the ability to inhibit the growth of fungi and bacteria that contact the surface. www.biocote.com
