79&Park is a porous residential building of 3.6m x 3.6m modules organized around an open green courtyard. The building’s tallest corner is lifted up to 35m in order to maximize the inflow of natural daylight as well as views towards Gärdet and the Frihamnen port for most of its units. The modules cascade down to the building’s lowest profile at just 7m, gradually extending the wooden development into the park. 79&Park appears like a gentle hillside, seamlessly blending into the nature around it.

We manufactured;

Surespan manufactured multiple glazed roof access hatches at various sizes with a vertical door for clients to gain easy access to the gorgeous roof spaces. The glass roof hatches were part fixed and part opening for maximum daylight. These hatches were powered opening and finished with a polyester powder coated finish.

A specialist control panel was manufactured to allow for rain sensors to close the cover if rain is sensed providing a 1 minute warning sound prior to closing, a movement sensor to prevent closing of cover if movement is detected, options for opening on fire and finally a keycode pad for exiting.
