GLAZED SLIDING SMOKE VENTILATORS
Surespan manufactured an electrically driven 4610 x 1955 SLHGE/AOV Glazed Sliding Smoke Vent for Great Portland Street, London. The large covers provided a 7m² free air flow according to Approved Document B (Fire Safety) paragraph 5b diagram C.7.
FIXED RAIL SLIDING ACCESS
Supplied to Gartsherrie Engineering Ltd. Coatbridge, Scotland. This 3500 (137″) x 4000 (157″) biomass sliding cover features fixed external rails and electric operation. A further two sliding covers were supplied sized 2500 x 4000 and 1500 x 4000mm
Telescopic sliding covers are ideal for smaller sizes that only require access for maintenance personnel or end users. These are available in sizes up to 750 x 2500. Perfect for manual operation, the sliding cover easily and smoothly opens to provide maximum clear opening for easy access.
Fixed rails are generally used for larger sizes up to 3000 x 3000 however we can manufacture larger sizes in certain circumstances. The fixed rails provide a maximum clear opening ideal for equipment, tools and personnel access. The external rail is fixed down onto the roof and provides structural support fotr the lid.
Sliding roof hatches can be sold with a glazed lid which provides excellent daylight for users below and provides an architectural talking point.
Electrical control systems can be based on standard configured systems or completely bespoke to suit the customers wants and needs. A battery backed power supply is standard for all essential systems (e.g. AOV’s) and as an option for non-essential systems.
