Smoke Vent Windows, Surespan manufactured and supplied a SRHGE/AOV 140° opening, thermally broken, Aluminium, Glazed (split into 2 panes), single leaf smoke ventilator to a business in London. Designed to fit structural opening 2000 x 1200mm (hinged on the 2000mm side). It will provide 2.04m² free air flow.
This allows for a glass pane size of 1700 x 1200mm (split into 2 panes) with a central transverse member (100mm wide).
Operated by 2 CONCEALED 24v DC actuators, located at either end of the cover within the structural opening and features electro-magnetic locking.
Glass Specification
The 35.5mm sealed double glazed unit comprises Pilkington 6mm toughened K polished all round outer pane, 20mm Warm Edge silver spacer Bar argon filled, Pilkington 9.5mm toughened & laminated inner pane. This sealed glazed unit has a U-Value of 1.5 W/m²K.
The remaining parts of the upstand are filled with 50mm thick of ‘Superior’ insulation which offers a U-Value of 0.20W/m²K
This offers a high level of thermal insulation against heat loss and condensation, together with excellent sound absorption properties.
The lid is supported by heavy-duty stainless steel axle pins and features an integral ‘wrap over’ edge, incorporating double unbroken EPDM seals.
Upstand designed with a 5 degree pitch to allow water run off.
This unit is CE marked and certified to EN12101-02.
Extended Skirt
Extended skirt aperture liner 709mm deep from Aluminium sheet on sides without actuators, to ensure a consistent internal frame depth, taking into account the casing for the concealed actuators. Includes polyester powder coated finish to RAL 7021 ‘Park Grey’.

Smoke Ventilation System
Surespan SRHE/AOV 140° Smoke Ventilation System can be made to any size up to 1800 x 3000mm. They are fully compliant with EN12101-2 and CE Marked. The thermally broken, Aluminium single leaf smoke ventilator is operated by 24v DC actuator(s) and features electro-magnetic locking.
The lid and upstand are filled with 50mm thick CFC and HCFC free Polyisocyanurate insulation. This offers a high level of thermal insulation against heat loss and condensation, together with excellent sound absorption properties.
Smoke Ventilation System can be supplied with an offset mechanism for roof access as well as concealed actuators.
All of our smoke ventilators are manufactured to meet the requirements of Building Regulations, Approved Document B, BS9999 and EN12101-2 and are supplied CE marked.

SRHG Glazed Roof Access Hatch
Surespan SRHG Glazed Roof Access Hatches are manufactured using thermally broken extruded sections as standard, offering clients excellent energy conservation properties and substantially reducing internal condensation or frost formation.
Surespan glazed roof access hatches incorporate a frameless design eliminating water ponding. The low profile frame with triple seals is structurally bonded to the 35.5mm sealed double glazed unit will comprise Pilkington 6mm toughened K polished all round outer pane, 20mm Warm Edge silver spacer Bar argon filled, Pilkington 9.5mm toughened & laminated inner pane.
Note: We recommend all glazed hatches to be installed on a 5° pitch to stop water ponding.

SRHP 50 Roof Access Hatch with Thermal Break
Surespan’s Aluminium Roof Access Hatches feature an unprecedented 25/50/75mm wide thermal break to provide the ultimate in thermal performance.
Insulation options include polyisocyanurate board or non-combustible mineral wool, to achieve a variety performance levels to suit project requirements.
Designed with options for manual gas spring assistance, featuring aluminium continuous hinges and an automatic hold-open safety stay to lock the lid in the open position to a 85° span.
For larger, heavier lids, consideration is to be given for powered assistance by 24v DC actuators, to ensure ease and safety of use is afforded to the operative.
A double unbroken EPDM seal ensures weather tightness, with an External Liner fitted as standard to allow for a variety of hot or cold applied weathering materials.
Available with a polyester powder coated dual finish upon request.
