Exi-Vent is a custom-engineered smoke vent and roof access solution developed for projects where combining both functions in one unit would compromise layout, compliance strategy, or usable access. By separating the smoke ventilation module from the roof access hatch, Exi-Vent allows each element to be sized correctly for the required free area and maintenance access requirement.

Exi-Vent was developed for projects that need practical roof access without compromising the smoke ventilation strategy. Instead of forcing both functions into a single opening, the system separates the smoke vent from the access hatch so each element can be sized correctly for free area, maintenance access, and stair or ladder approach requirements.
Yes. Exi-Vent is custom engineered and can be manufactured to suit project-specific opening sizes. This allows the access hatch to be sized for safe maintenance access while the smoke vent module is selected to deliver the required aerodynamic free area.
Smoke vent sizing should be confirmed by the project fire strategy. Exi-Vent modules are supported by Tested to EN 12101-2 for standard modules. Once the required free area is confirmed, the smoke vent can be selected and the roof access hatch sized independently, with final acceptance coordinated to local code requirements.
Exi-Vent can be supplied with common smoke ventilation control options to suit the project, including a control center, fireman switch, key switch, push button, and smoke detector integration. If the project requires a specific access-control or override arrangement, the final configuration should be coordinated with the fire strategy and wiring design.
