Yes. Locking options are available where controlled access is required.
Yes. The hatch can be specified for both interior and exterior applications, subject to the final project detailing, environment, and loading requirements.
The standard SAC hatch is supplied with an aluminum 5-bar tread plate lid for durability and slip resistance. A plain plate finish is also available, and an anti-slip coating can be added for higher-grip conditions. The lid provides a flush, low-profile finish rather than a recessed infill tray for matching finish materials.
Routine maintenance is minimal. We recommend regular cleaning together with periodic checks of the hinges, lifting components, and operating hardware.

Surespan offers additional safety options to complement floor access hatches. These include a pressure-sensitive edge for electrically operated units, a retractable handhold to support entry and exit, a Ladder Up Post for vertical access assistance, and a safety grid to provide fall protection when the hatch is open.
