The SRHP/SOLAR Solar Powered Roof Hatch provides electrically assisted roof access without relying on a hard-wired power supply. Designed for commercial projects that need dependable access, thermal performance, and simpler installation coordination, it combines insulated construction with solar-powered operation, battery backup, and wireless control.

What finish options are available?

Available finish options include aluminum, stainless steel, polyester powder coating in single-color or dual-color RAL finishes, and anodized aluminum.

How is the solar powered roof hatch insulated?

The hatch is insulated with a 3 in. (75 mm) PIR polyisocyanurate board to support thermal performance and help maintain building-envelope efficiency.

What locking options are available?

We offer several locking options to suit project security requirements:

LO4: External padlockable handle with toggle latch and internal cablock.
LO6: European deadlock with internal thumbturn and external keyed access, supplied with a non-locking external handle.
LO7: European deadlock with keyed locking internally and externally, supplied with a non-locking external handle.

Yes. Surespan provides approval drawings, including PDF and DWG submittal drawings, to support project coordination and specification.

Ladder Access

Our roof access products can be configured with a range of ladder types to suit the application. Standard vertical ladders provide direct access, while companionway or ship ladders offer a more gradual climb. ZIP retractable ladders support compact spaces by folding away when not in use.
